The Captain Ali ship which was carrying goods for the LTTE under the guise of humanitarian assistance has been seized. Naval Media Spokesman & Special Boat Squadron Director Capt. D.K.P. Dassanayake said the vessel was seized about 100 nautical miles off the Western coast at about 4.00 am. It is being escorted to the coast for further investigation. Earlier, the goods were brought from Britain to France in the ship Valan Gamam. Thereafter, Captain Ali has been transporting the goods. The Navy kept vigil until the ship neared the coast.
